Tecplot Focus is an engineering plotting and data visualization application designed for analyzing test, simulation, and measured data. It combines XY, 2D, and 3D plotting—such as contour, surface, vector, and polar plots—with precise styling controls to produce publication-quality graphics. Engineers use it to explore large data sets, compare runs, and build multi-frame layouts that link views and share axes and styles. Built-in analysis tools support curve fitting, basic statistics, computed expressions, data extraction, filtering, and interactive probing, along with options for slicing and thresholding. The software imports common text/CSV and Tecplot data formats and exports to popular raster and vector image formats for easy reporting. Automation is supported through a macro language and batch processing, enabling repeatable workflows and templates.
